Meet GiNiDiscover · Research Standards
GiNi publishes research to connect changing conditions with questions businesses and organizations may need to consider. The standards below show how that work is framed, sourced and maintained.
To help businesses and organizations understand changing conditions, see relevant opportunities and frame decisions with evidence before choosing a course of action.
Questions begin with a business, organizational or community decision that may benefit from clearer market, industry, geographic or operating context.
Articles name their sources and favor authoritative, relevant and current evidence. Source purpose, methodology, coverage and limitations are considered before evidence is used.
Each article defines its primary geography from the sources it uses. Different rural classifications and different meanings of Appalachia are not treated as interchangeable.
What the sources show is presented separately from GiNi’s interpretation so readers can distinguish evidence from conclusions or questions drawn from it.
Known limitations, incomplete evidence, competing definitions and unanswered questions are stated so the boundaries of a finding remain visible.
Material corrections and updates are dated and identified. An article’s publication status and update history remain visible.
GiNi explains how findings may relate to its services, market development or client work without treating that relevance as proof of a particular solution or outcome.
